State Fair Day! State Fair Day!
I! Can’t! Wait!
Today is Workout Wednesday and there will be no slacking just because it’s fair day. I’m so committed aren’t I? It’s a beautiful thing and I like to enjoy it while it lasts.
My hamstrings are still a teeny bit sore from my last Body Beast Legs workout so I figured a good HIIT workout would be good for them rather than attempting my scheduled Leg workout. I could just walk but that’s too slow-going for me. Besides, I’ll be doing plenty of walking later today.
After the workout, my legs actually feel better now than before I started and I’m lovin’ it. I gotta get back to regular cardio sessions to prepare for Rugged Maniac! It’s just over 2 weeks away and I’ve got some work to do.
Here’s the 30-minute HIIT workout I completed:
For clarity:
- 5 minute warm-up.
- ONE minute at 7 mph followed by TWO minutes at 5.5 mph – repeated for 5 times total (15 minutes).
- Walked ONE minute to recover a bit.
- 20 seconds on, 10 seconds off for a total of 10 times (5 minutes)
- 4-minute cool down.
Total time: 30 minutes
Total calories burned: 245
When I was done, I felt like puking. I’m all better now. :)
Off to the fair!
{ Happy Birthday Grandma! Will be thinking of you lots today. <3 }
