If you’re looking for some helpful women’s fitness magazines you’re in the right place. I am a fitness magazine lover and I’m going to share my favorites with you! Each of the titles I’m sharing with you I’ve personally subscribed to (or purchased) at one time or another and they have been really helpful for me.
I love tearing out pages that inspire me and keeping them in a binder. If you are looking for new workouts, exercises, meal ideas or helpful information about designing your own workout you should definitely check these out.
While this list contains all of my very favorites, you may feel differently. Before you subscribe, I definitely suggest going to a store to physically page through any magazine that interests you. This will give you a nice feel for the content to see if it’s right for you.
My Favorite Women’s Fitness Magazines
Muscle & Fitness Magazine.
First up is Muscle and Fitness. My husband has a subscription to this magazine and it is jam packed with workouts, protein information, supplement information, recipes, meal ideas and more. This is the first fitness magazine I ever read. Whenever he’s done reading it, I always snatch it from him because there are so many helpful things to read about. By just reading the cover you can probably tell that this magazine is geared towards men, but I think women can definitely benefit from it as well. Good, solid, practical info in this one.

Yoga Journal.
Next, if you are more into Yoga, this magazine would be a much better choice for you. Yoga Journal covers the modern world of yoga in an easy-to-read, informative, non-preachy manner, while exploring and revealing its ancient roots. No matter what your personality, level of fitness or flexibility, there is something for you. Each issue is divided into three sections: Yoga Lifestyle, Practice and Inspiration.
Issues Per Year:9
Estimated Delivery:6-12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Seasonally
Women’s Health.
I like Women’s Health because it shares the best ways to lose weight, improve nutrition, prevent illness and just enjoy life more in general. I also like reading the celebrity feature that they usually have each month.
Issues Per Year: 10
Estimated Delivery: 6-12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Seasonally
Muscle and Fitness Hers.
Next up is another great magazine for women who love strength training or are interesting in starting. They show you how to create your own workout and they usually feature workout strength training splits that you can follow. If you don’t have basic gym equipment you’ll probably be better off having a gym membership to go along with this magazine but if you have dumbbells at home you can definitely make most of the workouts work.
Issues Per Year: 4
Estimated Delivery: Up to 12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Quarterly
Oxygen Magazine.
Oxygen is an awesome magazine for women who love strength training programs and this is the only magazine besides Muscle and Fitness that we have never stopped subscribing to. This one also features nutrition information, supplements, ways to lose fat and workouts. In the back of every issue they feature reader submissions and I love seeing the different body types and ways that people get in shape.
Issues Per Year: 6
Estimated Delivery: 6-12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Bi-Monthly
Shape Magazine.
Now this is another good magazine that I’m always drawn to because they share workouts along with healthy meal ideas and style tips. I also enjoy their celebrity feature each month. People who are interested in more than just fitness will appreciate this magazine.
Issues Per Year: 10
Estimated Delivery: 6-12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Seasonally
Fitness Rx.
Last but not least there’s Fitness Rx. This magazine is packed with a lot of scientific articles about fitness. I always tend to get a headache because I’ll dive in and try to read the whole thing in one sitting, which is tough to do given the length of the articles.
Issues Per Year: 6
Estimated Delivery: Up to 12 Weeks
Publishing Frequency: Bi-Monthly
How to Save BIG on Fitness Magazines
Before I wrap this up I have to tell you how you can save big on these magazines. Fitness magazines can be expensive but I think they’re so worth it, especially when you can save up to 25% or more on these titles by shopping through eBates. eBates is a website that gives you cash back on your purchases and it’s totally legit. I’ve been using them when I shop online for several years now and I’ve already received $530.54 just for shopping online and buying things I already buy anyway.
Here’s a better look:
*Updated this post to share my earnings as of 3/16/17.
Before you go you might wanna check out my cash back earnings post. eBates has the highest cash back rate for magazines which is I why I suggested them for this specific purchase.
Happy reading!
