I recently received a Supreme Protein bar sample in an online order I placed. Before I get into that review, I have a quick backstory I wanted to share first.
A couple of months ago, I walked in to a Target store and grabbed a variety of protein bars to try because I wanted to supplement my protein intake and I ended up hating all of them. The first bite was always pretty tasty, but by the 2nd and 3rd bites I couldn’t even swallow anymore.
So…after buying 7 different protein bars, I tried 6 of them (eating less than half of each) and I let my fiance’ have the last one. He’ll eat anything and he even said the one he tried wasn’t that great so I knew I wouldn’t have liked it. I ended up thinking that I’ll never find a protein bar that I am actually able to eat. Sad.
I subscribe to quite a few fitness magazines and I always saw the ads for the Supreme Protein bars featuring gorgeous women who supposedly love them. I wasn’t going to fall for that. I’ve tried 6 other bars, what would make these any different, and that’s all I thought about that. And then I received 2 free samples of the Supreme Protein bars in a recent Bodybuilding.com order.
They were bite size bars, I don’t even remember the nutritional info, but they really tasted just like a candy bar. It didn’t even seem like a protein bar. Believe me, I was scared to try it after sampling so many others but since I had received them for free with my order, I had nothing to lose and now I am hooked.
Supreme Protein Bar
The samples I received were both Supreme Protein bars in the Caramel Nut Chocolate flavor. Here are just some of the nutrition facts of a full size bar:
- 30 Grams of Protein
- 360 Calories
- 16 Grams of Fat (Zero Trans Fat)
- Flaxseed Oil (a healthy fat)
In the December issue of FitnessRX Magazine, they featured a meal-replacement bar comparison chart and Supreme Protein got an overall score of 8.9 out of 10! They also scored the highest taste rating with an 8.7. The worst-tasting protein bar got a taste score of only 2.0.
It turns out that not all protein bars are bad, you just have to do some digging to find ones that you like.

Hi I just stumbled upon your blog. I like this post. I find too few active women take advantage of protein supplements so I get happy when I read a post like this.
All the best,
Charlotte
