I rocked push-ups today and it feels gooooooood. I was worried I wouldn’t do well since I haven’t done push-ups since Friday but I did them ALL. And even an extra one. It’s amazing what you can do with a bit of dedication, determination and good fuel! 100 Push-Ups Challenge Week 3, Day 2:

1920!
Total Push-ups: 82!
On Friday I did 76. I didn’t workout at all Saturday because I wanted to rest up for The Color Run. I had The Color Run on Sunday and then yesterday I ran around my house cleaning like a mad woman (so no “workout”). Then I was back at push-ups today. I AM THRILLED with how I did!
I also did ChaLEAN Extreme Lean Circuit 1. I have just two CE strength workouts left and them I’m finished! I have loved this workout but I hafta say, Les Mills Pump is still #1 for me. There’s nothing bad about the ChaLEAN Extreme workoutsAT ALL – they’re great. BUT, I loved the music in Pump and how the reps varied while going along with the music. A full review and results post will be done after I completely finish the program but wanted to provide a lil’ update.
After I finished those, I jumped on the treadmill and did a 20-minute interval workout.
I thought it up after my short warm up and it went like this:
- 10% incline (to help prepare myself for CampTITAN on 8/4!)
- 1/10th of a mile @ 3 mph
- 1/10th of a mile @ 6 mph
- 1/10th of a mile @ 7mph
- Repeat for 20 minutes
It was good. I liked it because I was constantly changing speed. I hate steady state!
In other news…
I have been wanting to try some kind of activity tracker for some time. I keep reading about them and seeing other people post pics on Facebook and Instagram and I’ve been wanting to try one so bad. Well, now’s my chance.
Here’s what I got in my mailbox last Friday:
I started wearing it this morning and I’m so amazed by all the stats I’m able to check on.
This armband tracks things like steps taken, workout intensity, calories burned, calories consumed and hours of sleep. The LINK version I have even syncs up with my smartphone. I’m going to do a full review AND BodyMedia may or may not have agreed to let me host a giveaway in the very near future. ;)
I’m gonna be testing this baby out and seeing how it works (and how I like it) for the next week or so and then I’ll write up a complete review listing features, pros, cons, etc.
There’s one thing I know for sure…even though I’m not really trying to lose weight, it feels like somebody is watching me during the day and it makes me not wanna sit down! It also really seemed to help me push myself during my workout today. That could definitely be a good thing.
I’m really anxious to see how it goes.
Q. Do you use an activity tracker or have you tried one in the past? (BodyMedia FIT, FitBit, Bodybugg, etc.) I’d love to hear your thoughts!
*Disclosure: I was given a complimentary BodyMedia FIT Link Armband to test out and review on MFB. All thoughts expressed and implied here are strictly mine.

Yes! I love using my BodyBugg. You would be amazed at how far off your calories burned can be! You actually burn less than you think. These are great tools!

I would love to have an activity tracker, especially for when I’m rock climbing, but unfortunately I can’t afford one right now… I’m excited for your review!

Nice work on your push-ups! I went to a tough class yesterday where we did:
40 sec. modified push-ups
30 sec. push-ups
20 sec. one-legged push-ups
*three times through the circuit!
It was intense :-)
