A few weeks ago I signed up for the Ultimate Blog Challenge which began yesterday (July 1, 2011). This challenge runs the entire month of July and the goal is to blog every single day from July 1 – July 31. Although I’m getting started just a tad late, I’m on board for this challenge!
Now, other than the fact that I’ll be working on developing 31 blog posts this month (in addition to workout posts), I have a couple of other things going on too.
- Beat the Heat Summer Challenge. Monday, July 4, 2011 marks the beginning of the 10-week Beat the Heat Summer Challenge hosted by Rebecca over at Weight Wars. Monday will be my first post regarding this challenge in which I create 5 goals that I’d like to achieve during the 10 weeks of the challenge. - Rock Fest. My husband and I are going on our first official vacation July 14-17th to celebrate our 2nd anniversary (July 25, 2011). We’re going to Cadott, WI to see Rock Fest! I’ll be scheduling my Blog Challenge posts ahead of time to be sure I post every day for 31 days. Obviously the goal is to write every day, but I won’t have internet access during my vacation so that’ll hafta do. What’s more interesting is my plan on staying active – at least a little – during my vacation time. Should be interesting!
- My Son’s Turning 8! I can’t believe it! We got him and his little brother (whose birthday was last month) guinea pigs for their birthdays. We’re planning on throwing them a big party as soon as we get situated in our new house. Yep, we’re currently house hunting as well.
- Study, Study, Study! I have my personal trainer certification exam coming up on September 24, 2011 so I’m trying to study a few hours each week to get prepared. I don’t want to have to re-take because I didn’t study enough! I’m confident I’ll do pretty well but I need to study for sure.
As you can see, this is going to be a busy month for me (and a busy summer in general) but I’m committed to this blog and I’m excited to participate in the two challenges – one of which is already underway and the Beat the Heat Challenge begins Monday, July 4, so stay tuned!
