Hola, Monday already?! I actually really like Mondays. I woke up this morning, got the grocery shopping done and then relaxed a bit. The bulk of our weekend consisted of working on the “school station”. We also made time to have a movie night with the kids. We watched “The Lorax” on Friday night.
It was funny because the boys were asking, “Can we just skip through the singing parts?” Then seconds later I’d find them with their eyes glued to the TV. Boys are so “cool” aren’t they? They make me laugh.
And I loved this quote:
On Saturday night we watched Friends with Kids. I thought that was actually a really great movie. It has a few of the same people that Bridesmaids (Maya Rudolf, Kristen Wigg and Jon Hamm) has and it was pretty funny too.
On Sunday morning Roger made us a mixed berry vanilla protein smoothie that was super YUM. It was the perfect blend of goodness to start the day with:
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 cup mix berries
- 1 cup cottage cheese
Then for dinner last night we had one of our new favorites while watching The Hunger Games:
- Grilled honey lime chicken
- Mixed vegetables
- Red potatoes with dry onion soup mix
Ever since starting Body Beast, I’ve been hungry ALL THE TIME. You have no idea how badly I wanted to cover my plate in those potatoes – they are my favorite. I opted for more veggies instead. Go me!

I’m not being too hard on myself for missing two workouts – especially since I doubled up on a few last week. To offset my unworkout-ness (haha), I did eat pretty well. And I did try to keep moving around with the cleaning and working on the closet. :)
Q. Have you seen The Hunger Games? What did you think of it? I thought it was so much better than Twilight. I could barely make it through the two Twilight movies that I did see, but this movie had me sitting on the edge of my couch and my eyes glued to the TV! Roger liked it too. :)
