Happy Halloween! It’s time to get ready for a new week! Super stinky that Halloween is on a Monday this year. That shouldn’t be allowed. I’m definitely more excited about watching the Vikes tonight on Monday Night Football!
I’m also excited to be starting a new workout routine this week. More on that a little bit later. First, I’d like to share a couple of things I saw over the weekend that I think you might appreciate.
The first is this quote by Nicole Wilkins via the November/December issue of Oxygen Magazine:
Love, love, love. One of the best quotes I’ve read in a long, long time.
My Magnificent Obsession on Netflix. C.T. Fletcher
Roger started watching My Magnificent Obsession on Netflix on Saturday night and I couldn’t help but pay attention. I had heard of C.T. Fletcher before but really had no idea what he was all about.
If you like documentaries and appreciate positive, inspirational, humble people who’ve been through hell and back but choose to thrive, I think you’ll definitely love My Magnificent Obsession.
While there are no F-bombs in the trailer, be prepared to hear a LOT of them during the documentary. Just a warning!
This week’s workout schedule:
After several years of working out now I’ve realized that I do much better if I’m following a routine. I’ve tried to do workouts by just going with what I feel like but it never works for very long. I need that structure. Any time I try to stray from a routine, I tend to flop.
I plan on doing the following routine created by Erin Stern (found here) along with some yoga and stretching just before bed.
- Monday: Shoulders + Arms.
I really enjoyed this workout. It showed me how weak my shoulders are.
- Tuesday: Plyo + Legs.
This was after my 3rd set of squats after the plyo circuit:
Super sweaty but still smiling :)
- Wednesday: Cardio + Core.
- Thursday: Back.
- Friday: Chest + Shoulders.
- Saturday: HIIT Cardio.
- Sunday: Rest.
