Good morning, good morning, good morning!
I hope you’re having a fun Friday so far. Today’s post is getting out a little later than I anticipated but here goes!
Today is the last day of school for the kids for a while, they’re on spring break next week! I’m working on trying to find a few fun things to do together with my boys. Some of that will include decluttering their rooms (fun for nobody really, but everyone will love it after we’re finished). To make myself actually commit to doing it, I’ve already scheduled a VVA donation pickup. I’m thinking we’ll probably see a movie and play some games too. It looks like the weather will actually be spring-like, YAY.
Since C and I celebrated our birthdays on Wednesday, this week’s edition of Friday Favorites is a special birthday edition! I just wanted to share a few fun things from our special day. If you’d like to play along, please comment below with something that’s been making you smile this week!
Aren’t these BEyoUtiful? I’ve never seen roses this color. They are so bright!
The flowers even matched the cake! I apologize for the terrible quality of this photo. I wish I had taken a photo before it got dark outside. I whipped up the cake while C was in school so I had plenty of time to take a photo in great light. Just slipped my mind! For the cake I just used a Funfetti box mix he loves and then made our signature vanilla buttercream frosting (not my recipe, but one we always use because it’s YUM).
Kempswiches and Leftover Pizza
I used to eat Kempswiches pretty much daily at lunchtime during high school. Roger brought a box home for me on Wednesday and I’ve already eaten two. I told Roger he can have the last two. I can’t stop eating them if they’re around!
I was excited yesterday when I realized I could have leftover pizza for lunch! I totally would’ve had it for breakfast but I didn’t remember it was there until lunchtime. Oh well, better late than never!
Gluten-free pizzas are so small, which means the pieces are also small.
These were probably gone in 60 seconds.
I’m in love with this mug! It’s from the same collection as my Rapunzel mug and I just love them. They hold a good amount of coffee and I just love the handles. They fit in your hand perfectly. Cuz that’s important you know. Ariel was also the name of my first puppy (yup, named her after The Little Mermaid). :)
My mom, my sisters and I went to a craft fair a couple weeks ago and there were so many neat things there. I pointed out these scarves and my mom said she’d get them for me. I suggested to just give them to me for my birthday since it was right around the corner so that’s what she did. I love the delicateness of them. Wait, is that a word? Don’t know, don’t care. :D
This is another beauty from the craft fair that I pointed out. My sister said she’d get it for me for my birthday so that’s what she did. Haha! I love it.
I love birthday cards.
My mom brought over some gifts for the kids for Easter and that included marshmallow shooters! I hadn’t ever heard of these before. These were also a craft fair find. Lol!
My mom did ask me if she could get these and I thought “heck ya, those look fun”.
They were fun, in theory.
Turns out, my kids have amazing aim.
I got hit in the middle of the forehead at least 5 times, once or twice right on my nose and then Roger pelted 3 at my ear.
And that wraps up this week’s edition of Friday Favorites!
And you there, you have yourself a great weekend!
And P.S. The winner of my birthday giveaway was comment #3 which is from Cassandra D! I have notified you via e-mail to congratulate you. A special thank you to all who entered!
