The easiest way to prevent boredom with home workouts is to create a workout hybrid. I just started this 21 Day Fix Extreme Transform 20 hybrid workout and I wanted to share it with you in case you wanna try it too.
If you’re not familiar, hybrid just refers to combining two or more workouts into your routine.
Why I chose 21 Day Fix Extreme and Transform 20
I chose 21 Day Fix Extreme because I love the strength training workouts and I think the insane 20-minute cardio workouts in Transform 20 are a really nice compliment. Strength + cardio = magic because you’ll build muscle and burn calories. The strength workouts will build muscle (increasing your metabolism) and burn calories and the cardio workouts will help you burn even more calories. Win-win!
I completed the first week of Transform 20 workouts, reviewed them and also tracked the calorie burn for each workout in case you’re curious. I was pretty impressed with the calories burned in only 20 minutes. I do love Transform 20 because the workouts are so quick but I was missing the weights already so here we are. :)
I also chose these two programs because their workouts are effective, very doable and they all have a modifier you can follow whenever you need to. No matter what your schedule is like you can squeeze these workouts in, I promise.
Where to find the workouts
To my knowledge, Beachbody has stopped selling DVDs for their latest fitness programs which I’m a huge fan of because those DVDs took up some serious space! Here’s a DVD organizer I made a few years back just for my Beachbody workouts.
You might have the 21 Day Fix Extreme DVDs but Transform 20 is only available to stream through Beachbody On Demand. I have the annual membership and just use our Roku TV and the BOD app. Works really nicely as long as your internet connection and speed is good.
You can get a free 14-day trial and then you can cancel after that time or choose to continue your membership on a quarterly basis or an annual basis.
21 Day Fix Extreme Transform 20 Schedule
This specific schedule that I’ve created is just 21 days long to keep things interesting and exciting. Completing a workout program in 21 days is so much less daunting than programs that are 6 weeks, 60 days or 90 days long. Knowing that you’ll complete it in just 3 weeks can help you stay motivated because the finish line is so close. It definitely helps me.
I tend to have major workout ADD. MAJOR.
The schedule is 7 days per week just like the original 21 Day Fix Extreme schedule, but the 7th workout of each week is completely optional. I always prefer to have at least one day for rest or active rest when I’m following a challenging schedule like this one.
21 Day Fix Extreme Transform 20 Hybrid Workout
If you really want to track your progress, be sure to take these measurements on day one before you begin! If you’re wanting to lose weight be sure to weigh in too if that’s your thing. I threw my scale away a couple years ago because it always pissed me off.
You don’t have to do anything that drastic but it helps me so just had to throw that in there!
I prefer to take measurements and go by how my clothes are fitting. If you decide to take measurements, be sure to take them again on day 21!

This workout schedule is completely customizable. You can totally change things around to make it work for you. If you’d rather do the cardio workouts Monday/Wednesday/Friday then just swap the schedule! Easy peasy.
If you want to have your rest day on Tuesday? Go for it! Definitely make it work for you.
