Happy Tuesday! I hope all the Moms had a really nice Mother’s Day! We spent most of the day outside and finally got some color from the sun after like 8 months of winter.
For Mother’s Day my husband and kids got me a DemonBell which is something I’ve been wanting since I laid my eyes on one. They’re pretty expensive for a “weight” but worth it to me. It’s nice to splurge every once in a great while and when I’m not using it, it’ll be on display in our home gym. We have these funky coffin-shaped cut-outs in our basement walls with lights in them so she already has a nice home.
For today’s workout I wrote up a fun kettlebell workout to try. I ended up really liking it so I’m sharing! I hope you like it too.
If you don’t have a kettlebell, you can sub dumbbells.
Kick-Butt Kettlebell Workout
You can switch up a lot of things in this workout to make it work for you.
Some suggestions:
- Do more reps
- Do fewer reps
- Use lighter weight, go faster (I used a 16# kettlebell)
- Use heavier weight, go slower
- Do progressive rounds (10 reps the first round, 20 the second time through, etc.)
- Reverse the order (high pulls first)
*I went through this doing slow, controlled movements for the most part. Sometimes it’s fun to slow down and really concentrate on the muscles you’re working.
I used two kettlebells for the burpees but if you don’t have them, you can easily sub dumbbells. Just be careful to do these rather slowly so you don’t roll your wrist. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to pull it off with the DemonBell because it’s pretty small on the bottom, but it worked out really well as long as I went slowly.
I loved this workout and will be doing it again real soon!
Hope you enjoy it :)

Looks like a great workout! I pinned it so I can try it soon.
I’m not sure if I know what a high pull is, though.

I love kettlebell workouts. They really work my body better than any other weight. I will have to give this routine a try.
