The Carb Lovers DietWithin the last decade or so, most diet programs said that the devil in disguise was carbohydrates and those carbohydrates were the reason we all could not lose weight.  So the Atkin’s Diet became quite popular and those participating in his program did lose weight, until the irresistible urge to chow down on that endless bowl of pasta hit full force and then the scale tipped in the unfavorable direction.

The Carb Lover’s Diet embraces carbohydrates and this program has become increasingly popular for that reason.  This program wants you to eat the right kinds of carbohydrates, the resistant-starch kind.  Since, I absolutely enjoy eating carbs, this program caught my attention right away.  I just had to find out what these resistant starch carbohydrates are really about.    Here is what you need to know about the Carb Lover’s Diet.

What is the Carb Lover’s Diet?

The Carb Lover’s Diet wants for you to not be afraid of eating carbohydrates.  However, it wants for you to eat the “right” kinds of carbohydrates, which are found in whole-grains, fruits and vegetables.  They categorize these “right” kinds of carbohydrates as high starch resistant carbs.  The secret according to the Carb Lover’s Diet is to get the right balance and incorporate these starch resistant carbs into your diet.  This will then increase the level of hormones that trigger your metabolism and kick your body’s “other natural fat burners” into high gear. In addition, eating resistant starch carbs makes you fill fuller, therefore you are taking in less calories even through the next day.  Their program wants for you to aim to eat 10-15 grams of resistant carbs on a daily basis.  Okay, so what foods really are considered high resistant carbs, anyway? Their website mentions a few, which include:

  • Beans
  • Corn
  • Bananas
  • Oatmeal
  • White beans
  • Lentils
  • Potatoes
  • Plantains
  • Garbanzo beans
  • Pearl barley
  • Whole-wheat pasta
  • Brown rice

What Do You Get When You Order the Carb Lover’s Diet Program?

The program begins with a 7 day kick-start program to get your body used to eating these high resistant starches.  Next, is the 21 day immersion program.  The program supplies you with:  daily menus and recipes with grocery lists.  They even offer you food options (which work with their program) for those nights that you don’t feel like cooking.  At this point of the game, their program states you can lose up to another 6 pounds after the 21 day immersion program.  Throughout their program they offer support and help from their nutritionists and other program participants.

Their program book, entitled, The Carb Lover’s Diet is available at Amazon which is usually where you’ll find the best prices on new books. This book has even made its way to the New York Bestseller’s List!

What is Everyone Saying About the Carb Lover’s Diet?

Almost every review about the Carb Lover’s Diet program is a positive one.  Many success stories are posted on their website with before and after pictures of those who have tried the program.  Their stats are given and of course their personal story as well.  Some of the stories really can get you inspired to try out this diet program.  There is even a review given by sisters who tried the program out together.

Overall, for just a small price, trying out the Carb Lover’s Diet program is worth exploring.  The program does not completely eliminate one type of food group or a particular food type.  You are free to enjoy your carbs once again with the Carb Lover’s Diet program.
