For the last 3 weeks I’ve been clinging to Christmas Abbott’s Badass Body Challenge for my home workouts. I haven’t missed a single day and I’ve been working out 5 days a week. This is the best streak I’ve been on in a couple years now. Praise. the. Lord. I’m loving this program so far and I’m definitely noticing changes already so I wanted to share my experience so far. I’m a paid member of this program (worth every penny!) {Read More}

Hey guys! Happy Friday Eve! How’s your week been going so far? I just wanted to pop in quick and share a workout I made up on the fly earlier this week. Somehow, some way, those tend to be some of my favorites! No problem with flying by the seat of your pants once in a while, right? Sometimes I guess I just get sick of schedules and find it fun to make things up as I go along. Keeping my personal {Read More}

Rediscovering Therapy at the Bar

Well this morning was definitely an interesting one! On my way to bring the kids to school we had to go through a detour and traffic was SUPER crazy. Basically everyone had to go the same route to get anywhere and we’re all trying to weave through a tiny town during rush hour. Things get even more exciting when ginormous 18-wheelers are trying to turn down a 2-lane street where you’re occupying one of them. Instead of a 10 minute ride to school, it turned into about {Read More}

Hola! First things first. I just want you to know that I hope it’s warmer where you are. It is windy and frigid around these parts. I feel like as long as my fingers are extended over my keyboard to type that they’re going to feel like icicles! I guess I should go inside now. Haha… kidding. My real reason for jumping on this afternoon is because I did a really challenging workout that I wanted to share with you. As you may know, I’m {Read More}

Good morning! I hope you’re having a good day so far. Today is Miss G’s 8th birthday and all the kids are off school today so I hope she has a fun day! I’ve got a busy day ahead of me with the boys home and plenty of cleaning around the house to do but I wanted to quickly share the lower body workout I did yesterday. I think you might like it because it’s quick, effective and can be done {Read More}

One thing I’ve noticed about living an active lifestyle is that it really helps you want to do better in all other areas of your life. For me it just clears my head and really gets me to focus on the positive and what I can do to improve myself and my life. Fitness has made me a better wife, mom and daughter and it has helped me face new challenges and do things I probably never would have otherwise. I {Read More}

Full Body Circuit Workout w/Focus on ARMS

Circuit workouts are quickly becoming one of my very favorites. If you’re looking to shape and strengthen your arms while working your entire body, this is a great workout to try! This is the one I did this morning and my arms have been shaky ever since. And my body just feels dead tired. I told the kids I’d stay up with them tonight so I hope I can make it! I’m afraid once I get comfortable I’ll be sound {Read More}

It’s been some time since I was on a regular workout schedule but I’m starting all over today. Who says you gotta wait till Monday right?? It always sucks starting over but I’m excited to get back into it because I can tell now more than ever that my body and my brain have been missing workouts a whole lot. I’ve been missing blogging a lot too so I’ve scaled back on school a bit so I can have more {Read More}

Well, I still haven’t necessarily found my metabolism, but I am getting along with it a little better now. The biggest change I’ve made? Diet. I’m not dietING, I’m just eating things that won’t stick to my insides as much. Haha. If that makes sense! I’ve been slowly cutting back on breads and cereal (yep, got semi-hooked again for a little while) and eating more protein, fruits and veggies. I’m learning to love it again. When you think about food {Read More}

“You Can Do Anything for 5 Minutes” HA HA HA + Motivation

Have you ever heard the saying, “You can do anything for 5 minutes”? I’ve heard it a bunch of times (I think they say it on Biggest Loser a lot) and figured I’d apply it to the workout I did yesterday. A lot of people struggle with running (like me, for instance). The workout I did called for a total running distance of 4 miles. WHAT?! In order for me to avoid shying away from trying this difficult task, I {Read More}
