4th of July Julep “Fireworks” Nails

Happy Friday! I hope you had a great 4th and were able to spend it with family and friends!

The weather was perfect around here and there were plenty of fireworks and firecrackers blowing up around the neighborhood from late morning until the wee hours of this morning. I’ve definitely had my fill of fireworks and my poor dogs have too!

I think the kids had a lot of fun though. :) I spent the first part of the day painting their fingers and toes in fun, patriotic colors. It’s pretty much turned into a tradition around here! We had so much fun in Target looking for the perfect colors to use!

It’s no secret that I love nail polish so I had to share how I decorated them for the 4th! I wish I had taken a picture of the kids’ fingers and toes before they left for the day but I forgot. :(

I received my July Julep box and inside was the free add-on I chose which is called “Fireworks” and it’s amazing! I’ve never seen such glittery polish and it hurts your eyes if the sun hits it just right. Perfect for summer.

Here’s a quick peek at the entire box I received:

Once Julep sent out their monthly e-mails reminding subscribers to choose their upcoming box (or skip that month’s box), I decided to choose the “It Girl” box this time because it had 3 polishes that looked really pretty. It also came with some green tea facial blotting papers that I wasn’t expecting at all, so they were a pleasant surprise! If you never have to use blotting papers, I envy you.

I haven’t tried any of the polishes yet with the exception of “Fireworks”.

To prep myself for my 4th of July design, I plopped down on the coach, turned on Big Brother and just started doing random things with red, white, blue and glitter!

For my toes I just used the red with “Fireworks” (by Julep) on top and it’s so pretty. I think I might have to get some more of that stuff!

In other news, I haven’t worked out yet this month and I think it’s because I’m so excited to start my 25-minute workouts on Monday!

I also just found out that the women’s winner of the $100,000 prize for the Beachbody Challenge Transformation Contest did Les Mills Pump! I had great results with that program and I still love it. It’s the first home workout program that I ever fully completed and it’s exciting to see that it helped this woman with a super incredible transformation of her own! She lost over 70 POUNDS and her before/after pics are incredible. Great job Jessica!

Well, I guess it’s time to start cleaning, the house isn’t going to clean itself!

Enjoy your weekend!

For fun:
